Lionbridge Online Maps Specialist
We are recruiting home-based workers, university students and individuals seeking part time work from around the world who are bi-lingual in English and their native language to join our On-Line Maps Specialist Program.
Program Description
The goal of this project is to evaluate and improve online mapping software. Candidates will need to determine and evaluate the effectiveness of online maps and provide their individual qualified feedback on their user experience.

To achieve this, we have a search relevance program management team based at our European solution center in Ballina, Ireland who manages a Global Team of over 4,500 people. This team manages all global recruitment; payments, training, as well as productivity feedback to ensure successful candidates reach their full potential as a member of our global workforce.
Our latest new and exciting opportunity is our online maps specialist project which is initially expected to run for 3 months and requires 2-4 hours per week. An immediate start is required for this project.
The work will involve:
- Using online maps to investigate geographic accuracy of queries through using your local geographic knowledge and researching skills
- Grading the accuracy of online map results and locations
- Determining if City, Province and Country results are geographically accurate for your region
- Analyzing and providing feedback to improve the accuracy of driving/routing instructions
Requirements
- Proficiency in English is essential
- Fluency in Native language is essential
- Familiarity using both Internet browsers and content, and access to a computer with a high-speed internet connection
- Excellent knowledge of local geographical areas is essential for this role
- Experience/know-how of using online maps is an advantage
- For cultural and geographical awareness purposes candidates must be resident in the country for 1 consecutive year
- Strong analytical and researching skills
